Yes, God has blessed Australia! What other explanation is there for the incredible level of prosperity we enjoy as a nation with such a short recorded history?
God has blessed Australia because it was founded on the Judeo-Christian teachings of the Bible. Many of our nation's forefathers adhered to the Christian faith and sought to establish biblical principles in all aspects of our life and society. Governors such as John Hunter, prime ministers including Alfred Deakin, businessmen like Robert Campbell, farmers such as Samuel Marsden and educators like Thomas Hassell were men of faith who shaped Australian life with righteous ideals. Modern Australians are the beneficiaries of these men's historic commitment to Christianity and its inherent values.
The legacy of our Christian forefathers is a democratic society where values such as the sanctity of life, the individual's freedoms and rights, tolerance, order and justice, the importance of education and opportunity for all have flourished.
People from all over the world want to live in Australia, and for these same reasons. These virtues, and their contingent opportunities, are deeply rooted in our Judeo-Christian heritage.
Australia has a Christian heritage that has been a fountain of blessing of which all of us benefit. It is important that we
KNOW, VALUE AND CONTINUE
in the Christian heritage passed down to us.
'The introduction of biblical Christianity in our national history is one of the fruits of The Great Spiritual Awakening of the 1700s that was taking place within the British empire. God used men like George Whitefield and John Wesley to be the means of salvation for many and revival of God's people. Because the colony of NSW was an extension of the British Empire, we have become recipiences of true biblical Christianity. Our link with the British Commonwealth gives us our link to biblical Christianity in this country.'

The tone of the early civilization in New South Wales was fashioned by the evangelicals, for amongst their adherents were the chaplains, governors—such as Hunter and Macquarie. A number of officials, the editor of the first newspaper, and the school teachers. They were the ones in the colony with power both to persuade and compel.

We must stop ignoring, denying and tearing down our nation's history which is rooted in biblical Christianity. If we destroy our roots, there will be no more good fruit.
